Trip down memory lane

This ones is for the girlies. When travelling i ususlly dont like to stay at the same place. I'm all for revisiting a favourite  destination but hotel wise its always good to explore something new. I visited sorrento with the girlies 6 yesrs ago and we stayed for one night at the hotel grand ambascatori. It was Renee's birthday and it was our splurge on the trip. i wanted to take the family back there because i had so many wonderful memories of us swimming off the sun deck into the ocean. I also wanted to return because the room I shared last time with Tina had a view of the kitchen and no sea view!  The hotel has not disappointed   and is as welcoming as ever. The kids are loving the buffet breakfast where the chef will make them crepes (would you like nutella on that yes please). it has a heated swimming pool which is grest as the weather has turned slightly cooler. I got my sea view from my room at last! my only disappointment  is thst its been too cold for an ocean swim but the middle child and I are going to brave   that today. unfortunately sortento as a town has changed quite dramatically it is full of touristy shops (i remember it being very quaint shopping) and the place is full  of tourists particularly sunburnt English ones! we are using these next couple of days as a base to explore the amalfi coast or then again that heated pool and chair in the garden is looking quite comfy!  Its good to be back.
