Speedy tours
One thing we are very good at is speedy sight seeing. Life is too short for queues and we often want to get the mandatory sights out of the way so we can go shopping or in search of good food, wine and gelato. The kids and Jess are very happy with this style of touring. Yesterday was a travel day. Paris to London on the Eurostar. We arrived at our hotel and were treated with such welcome arms I could have cried. Welcome sparkling water while we checked in. Welcome tea coffee and juice with some lovely biscuits while we waited for our room to have the finishing touches to it and welcome gifts for children once we arrived in our room and welcome champagne for us! What time do you want your room cleaned mrs Gaspar. All the time on the hour please I thought but said once a day whenever suits please. We set off to do the sights here's what we accomplished in a matter of hours on foot.
Big Ben he chimed right on the hour as we arrived
Houses of Parliament.
Westminster abbey where Kate and wills got married long queue to get in at 18 pounds so will skip that one.
Over there is the London eye
Look a double decker bus
Photo opportunity in a red London phone box
Walked past no 10 Downing Street
Strolled through Hyde park
Buckingham palace no changing of the guard
Walked through gardens of Calvary museum
Now that's done lets look for ice cream
A leisurely stroll through regents park on the way home and there's the ice cream
London tick tick and more ticks
Finished the night at a London pub for a great English meal of sausages, fish chips, pies and mushy peas. Love this place!
