The strangest things

We have seen and experienced some pretty funny and strange things on our travels. Some yuk, some just plain weird.

1. A women breast feeding while she was walking down a busy shopping street in Rome, no baby could be that hungry surely.

2. In France men seem to have no problem stopping on the side of the road to go to the bathroom,  some quite well dressed.

3. One of z's running shoes went missing one evening.  It was suspected that a dog might have taken it. The owner suggested we leave the shoe out on the front fence as it will be returned.  It hasn't happen yet but we are hoping it turns out to be true.

4. Z and I cycled to a village called Saignon it was the prettiest out of all the towns we have seen.  There was an old man there setting up his shop in his army fatigues and he was selling lavender oil which was good as a deodorant and will also keep away the mozzies.

5. We saw on our bike ride a real live Shepard herding some goats.  The mobile phone in the shepards hand destroyed the image.

6. At the village market this morning there was a man selling fresh gnocchi.  Great I thought dinner is sorted.  When I asked how much for the gnocchi, he let out a big belly laugh and said "no it was  fromage.  Little cheese".

7. Georgie bought a scarf from a market stall in bonnieux,  the guy I bought the scarf from tried to sell me a house - you name the village and your price and I will find you a house.

8. I was looking at a bag in Italy which was on the cheaper side I asked if it was leather and the shop assistant said to me " of course it's just like Louis Vuitton ". Not at 50 euros I thought.

9. I was in a shop looking at scarves and I asked the lady if she had any silks scarves other than the 10 euro scarves. She scoffed at me and said everything in this shop is silk.  Really the leather belts as well.

10. Jess was looking at a bag in a shop and asked if it was leather.  She simply said "no, none of them are". The truth at last.

11. In Capri we met a couple from the US. He carried the bags while she waltzed ahead.  There was room in the hotel car for 2 passengers in the front but she told him, to squeeze in the back with us as she needed her space.
