Non runners look away

If you don't like to exercise read no further there will be no crochet tips in this post.,

It's no secret I love to run and I especially like to run early morning to watch the world wake up. And I really love running when I visit a new country as I enjoy doing a reconnaissance mission checking out the sights for the day and either adding or taking away from our things to do list depending on what I have run past. We woke early and went for a run. Noone on the streets. Just us, some left over beggars and the occasional other runner who are also tourists. We ran towards the river and spied the bridge of angels and St. Peter's. we then headed towards the Spanish steps. Simply magnificent all 186 of them. Up we went to the top to stop and see a view of Rome. Down via conditti running past prada, Dior etc etc and then to top off a glorious run we stopped at an Anthony Conias cafe bar d'or for a morning macchiato. What a wonderful start to the day. The best thing about an early morning is seeing the sights without crowds. We returned with kids in the afternoon to see the Spanish steps and with the crowds it had a very different feel. Quite unenjoyable. This morning I ditched my husband and took my eldest and Jess for a morning run. Once again we did the sights Trevi fountain no one there just us and the Spanish steps just us again. The girls loved it.  We got a lot more attention this time from the old Italian men up early to gather for coffee - of course it had nothing to with me! . Finished once again for a macchiato at cafe d'or and when the barista said do you want take away . I said no we will have it here as we are in no hurry to be anywhere. What a way to start a day!
