Love love love Quebec City
We arrived in Quebec City via train on New Year's Eve. We were happy to say goodbye to montreal. Despite our local being the Gaspar tarvern and the food sensational the city is largish and very cold. We knew that we would love Quebec City before we got here as it involved a train trip to reach our destination. We are big fans of train travel. You often leave the middle of the city and arrive in the middle of the city. Taxi rides from airports to the city I often find depressing as you usually don't drive through the nice part of town. The train trip was 3 hours long and you don't have to be there hours before. We were given priority boarding because of the children but we were also scolded for having the children push the large bags! We arrived in the heart of Quebec City to snow. It fell lightly at first but gathered momentum at great speed. Our hotel in the old town was beautiful and apparently hosting a big party for New Years. We decided not to join them and dined at a...
